Foreign visitors will surely come to this street when they come to Wuhan.
The grandest cinema, Tianhe Huanyi Cinema City in Wuhan, is in collaboration with the giant entertainment in China, which shows its brand and grade very well.
Watching Focus
The whole street is made up of four building complex, from west to the east, there are American-like modern building, warmly Spain architecture and the innocent Northern European malls, as well as the classic England design.
Adopting the essence of the buildings in all over the countries, buildings here are representatives of buildings in the world, integrating advertisement, pillar decoration and brand of stores as a whole. Hubei cuisine ranks as one of China’s ten major styles of cooking with many representative dishes. With development of more than 2,000 years, Hubei cuisine, originated from Chu Cuisine in ancient times, has developed a lot of distinctive dishes with its own characteristics, such as steamed blunt-snout bream in clear soup, preserved ham with flowering Chinese cabbage, etc. Guozao is a popular way of saying having breakfast in Wuhan.
It is generally said that Guangzhou is the paradise for eating and Shanghai for dressing, while Wuhan is a combination of both. Sitting favorably at the heart of China, Wuhan has gathered and mixed together various habits and customs from neighboring cities and provinces in all directions, which gives rise to both diversity and integration.
1. Hot and Dry Noodles, Re-gan mian consists of long freshly boiled noodles mixed with sesame paste. The Chinese word re means hot and gan means dry. It is considered to be the most typical local food for breakfast.
2. A salty doughnut or Mianwo is a kind of doughnut with a salty taste. Its much thinner than a common doughnut, and is a typical Wuhan local food.
3. Bean skin or Doupi is a popular local dish with a filling of egg, rice, beef, mushrooms and beans cooked between two large round soybean skins and cut into pieces, structurally like a stuffed pizza without enclosing edges.
4. Soup dumpling or Xiaolongtangbao is a kind of dumpling with thin skin made of flour, steamed with very juicy meat inside so that is why it is called Tang (soup) Bao (bun), because every time one takes a bite from it the soup inside spills out.

In the mid-1980s, the first night market in Wuhan appeared on Jianghan Road.
At the end of February 2000, the government decided to transform Jianghan Road into a new commercial pedestrian street integrating shopping and leisure tourism.
The pedestrian street was officially opened on September 22, 2000, and it became one of the most prosperous areas in Hankou at that time.
------------------------------

Roaming in the Jianghan Road Walking Street is a quite enjoyable thing as you are surrounded by many time-honored buildings of various kinds of styles, such as Byzantinism, classicalism, European style, Rome style.
The famous stores along the street are the People’s Restaurant and Xuangong Restaurant that were once prosperous before liberation; Jingyi Glass Shop, the name of which was wrote by Sun Yat-sen; China Products Department Store, which was built in order to boycott Japanese goods and gets the present name Central Department Store;
Hengdali Clock and Watch Shop, which is mainly engaged in western clocks and watches; a variety of mouthwatering food stores such as Guan Shen Yuan, Huakang Nonstaple Food, Zimei Food Factory, Si Jimei Steamed Buns Restaurant, etc.
People often call Jianghan Road the 20th century architectural museum in Wuhan.
